Pop Culture Trends Found on College Campuses
Sometimes, the jump from high school to college can feel like you’re moving to another country where you don’t speak the language. But it doesn’t have to be so scary! We thought giving you a little glimpse into what’s trending on campuses across the country—in terms of TV shows, music, food and more—might help you feel a little less intimidated. In fact, you’ll probably realize that you have a lot more in common with college students than you thought.
TV–Netflix is a must-have on campus, but in terms of specific shows, you’d be likely to get a mix of old (think Friends, The Office, Family Guy and Spongebob Squarepants) and new (Stranger Things, Rick & Morty, Supernatural, and Riverdale).
Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook are still the favorite apps.

Brand names include Adidas, Timberland, Thrasher and Vineyard Vines, but more broadly speaking, these trends are seen a lot right now:

ACTIVITIES and Social Causes
Black Lives Matter, the Women’s March and issues around social justice and gender roles are active movements right now. There is also a lot of interest in Greek life, technology, entrepreneurship and innovation.
